Julie Allen - Owner After graduating cosmetology school and working at various salons, with only 5 years experience under my belt, I decided to take the plunge and create a space of my own. I opened the doors of The Colour Room in 1996 and never looked back. Since then, I have moved the salon three times and with each move grew bigger and better. I am happy to say we have found our permanent home. Although the client list has grown over the years I've never lost sight of my vision - a chic space that has the comfort of a neighborhood salon. Knowing how important the staff is to creating a winning atmosphere and reputation of a salon, I hand-pick each of the highly skilled stylists who, with their different areas of expertise and different personalities, can accommodate pretty much anyone that walks in the door. Laughter can always be heard somewhere in the Colour Room and smiles can be seen on the faces of exiting clients – this was my dream …and that is why I am not only skilled at what I do, but why I love my work!
